Senior Manager – Accounts | Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Accounts to oversee accounting operations, project accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, cash flow, and financial controls. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Construction / Industrial / Thermal Power Plant / Infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, provisions, and month-end closing.
- Oversee project accounting including project-wise revenue, expenses, advances, provisions, receivables, payables, and cost allocation.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports.
- Monitor project budgets, actual costs, cost variances, and financial performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and cost control activities.
- Monitor receivables, payables, ageing, advances, and outstanding balances and coordinate for timely settlement.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal, statutory,



and tax auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls, accounting processes, and company policies.
- Coordinate with Projects, Commercial, Procurement, and other functions for project financial information and reconciliations.
- Lead, guide, and review the performance of the Accounts & Finance team.
- Provide financial insights and accounting support to GM – Accounts and senior management.

Required Qualification

- M.Com / MBA Finance / B.Com.
- Relevant professional qualification or certification will be an added advantage.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Accounts
- Candidates with prior experience in Construction, Industrial Projects, Thermal Power Plants, Infrastructure, or similar project-based industries will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, cost control, and cash flow management.
- Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and team-management skills.
