- 10+ years of professional experience in light vehicle repair and maintenance
- ITI/NTC or equivalent automobile technology qualification
- Valid driving license (Category B)
- Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
- Proficiency with vehicle diagnostic equipment and tools
- Knowledge of brakes, suspension, electrical, engine and gearbox systems
- Fluent English communication skills
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles
2. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
3. Service brake systems, suspension systems, engine components, and gearbox systems
4. Perform gearbox repairs, servicing, and replacements
5.
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and testing
6. Prepare vehicles for MOT/safety inspections
7. Maintain accurate service records and documentation
8. Test repaired vehicles to ensure safety and performance standards
9. Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area
11. Communicate with customers regarding repair needs and progress
12. Mentor and guide junior mechanics
13. Contribute to workshop efficiency and continuous improvement
