Role overview The primary role is to help drive the rapid prototyping of R&D; hardware team to realize and validate designs efficiently. This role requires the individual to lead the management and execution of all the assembly activities related to the R&D; hardware team. This role also requires you to oversee the management of stores and equipment related to R&D; hardware lab.
Responsibilities
Hardware Assembly
Leads the assembly activities for R&D; and pilot lot. The activities include PCBA, connectors and wiring harness.
Plan, distribute and help the team in executing the assembly activities as needed by R&D; design team.
Point of contact to review the BOM, assembly instructions and execute the same.
Should help the team with testing activities which will include PCBA integration with motors, LCDs, motors, panels and other sub systems.
Involve in validation activities such as range tests, charging tests and other validations related to Hardware team.
Key point of contact for EMS vendor if outsourced.
Must prepare assembly instructions based on the technical requirements produced by designers.
Material and Lab In charge of R&D; stores and material management.
In charge of maintaining stock, inward and outward for R&D; stores.
POC for any repair and calibration activities for lab equipment and stores.
Align with the components ordered by R&D; procurement and update the team with material confirmation, reception with required documents.
In charge if material inspection, package, storage and stock maintenance of R&D; stores and lab.
In charge of maintaining lab equipment and tools list.
Maintain and coordinate with CFT for calibration activities.
Procurement and accounting
POC for local procurement for R&D; activities.
In charge of maintaining accounts for all the procurement activities.
Safety and Quality
Should be aware of safety precautions in the lab.
POC to maintain chemicals and other hazardous materials related to the lab.
POC for any safety related Gemba walks conducted.
Team manager
- Manger for technicians in R&D; lab.
R&D; ticketing Point of contact for ticketing system for Hardware related field issues and production issues.
Respond to mails and ensure a RCA and required ticket is closed on priority
Skills
SMD mounting of LCC, BGA, QFN, QFC and 0201 packages for passive components.
Experience in handling desoldering techniques for rework of PCBAs.
Experience in crimping and wiring of connectors at PCBA and product level.
Experience in handling and managing lab equipment, stores and inventory.
Excel, MS Word, SharePoint, Any ERP exposure
Qualification
- Minimum ITI / Diploma in Electronics
