Senior / Lead Consultant - Master Data Management, Data Governance & Data Quality

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced consulting professional with expertise in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and Data Strategy to drive enterprise data transformation initiatives for global clients. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, IT teams, and executive leadership to define and implement data governance frameworks, MDM operating models, and data quality improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities

Must have worked at least two border areas listed below.

Data Strategy & Consulting

- Conduct data maturity assessments and current-state assessments.
- Develop enterprise data strategy, target-state operating models, and transformation roadmaps.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, process walkthroughs, and requirements gathering sessions.
- Advise clients on best practices for data governance, MDM, data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
- Prepare executive presentations, business cases, assessment reports, and implementation plans.

Master Data Management

- Lead MDM assessment, design, and implementation initiatives across master data domains.
- Define golden record principles, match and merge logic, survivorship rules, hierarchy management, and reference data approaches.
- Design MDM operating models, stewardship models, governance workflows, and exception management processes.
- Support MDM platform selection, solution design, integration planning, migration, testing, and deployment activities.

Data Governance





- Design and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, councils, roles, decision rights, and escalation mechanisms.
- Define data ownership, stewardship, custodianship, RACI models, policies, standards, controls, and governance KPIs.
- Support regulatory and privacy-aligned data practices including GDPR, CCPA, DPDP, and relevant industry controls.
- Drive governance adoption through communication, enablement, operating cadence, and change management.

Data Quality Management

- Define data quality assessment methodology, issue taxonomy, rule framework, scorecards, and remediation processes.
- Profile datasets, identify root causes, prioritize improvement opportunities, and recommend sustainable fixes.
- Develop business rules, validation rules, exception workflows, dashboards, and KPI reporting mechanisms.
- Establish continuous data quality monitoring and governance-enabled remediation processes.

Client & Practice Development

- Support presales activities including solutioning, proposal development, RFP responses, effort estimation, and client demos.
- Develop reusable consulting assets, accelerators, templates, frameworks, and thought leadership content.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability building within the data management practice.

- Certifications: CDMP, Collibra Ranger, Informatica, SAP MDG, Microsoft Purview, or equivalent data governance / MDM certifications.
