About the Role

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Aspire, you will play a key role in building web applications that connect back-end data to intuitive front-end interfaces, enabling self-serve processes and workflow automation. As the first core software engineer on the team, you will merge our contemporary data stack with core software engineering capabilities to architect and build full-stack solutions that power business operations. This role focuses on transforming static, traditional data and analytics solutions into automated operational workflows — closing the loop between data ingestion, analytical insights, and automated execution.

This position requires US CST time zone coverage and is preferred for candidates based in LATAM.

What You'll Do

- Architect and build full-stack software solutions that power business operations, spanning both backend API development and frontend application building.
- Develop custom web applications that give stakeholders an operational front-end interface to review, monitor, and execute complex business logic in a self-serve manner.
- Merge the modern data stack with software engineering capabilities, including API services, microservices, and workflow orchestration engines.
- Build automated workflows and triggers that instantly sync cross-platform systems.
- Transform static and traditional data/analytics solutions into automated operational workflows, closing the loop between data ingestion, analytical insights, and automated operational execution.
- Lead and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Set foundational coding standards,



design and implement solutions, and guide and upskill peers as the first core software engineer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable software solutions.

What You'll Need

- 5+ years of programming experience in at least one of the following languages: Java or Python.
- 5+ years of experience developing backend APIs in a data-driven environment.
- 5+ years of experience with datastores such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar long-term stores.
- 4+ years of experience building production frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong knowledge of REST or GraphQL, RPC, and JSON.
- Working knowledge of a cloud-based environment, with a focus on AWS.
- Experience conducting and leading code reviews.
- Experience impacting a product or project in a tangible, positive manner.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical-related degree.
- Senior-level (5+ years) hands-on software engineering experience; as the first core software engineer on the team, must possess the architectural maturity to design and implement solutions, set foundational coding standards,



and guide and upskill peers.
- Experience creating solutions for billing.
- Working knowledge of service-oriented and event-driven system architectures.
- Experience consuming GraphQL APIs from the frontend (Apollo Client or similar).
- Demonstrated use of Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, or other messaging frameworks.
- Familiarity with a component-based design system.
- Experience writing frontend tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
- Working knowledge of frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar).
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and accessible UI development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for debugging complex issues and maturing code.
- Significant experience with large-scale, high-performance systems, including an understanding of the tradeoffs between consistency and scalability and common patterns for scaling reliable systems through data replication and redundancy.
