Role Summary

You will own the code behind every screen our customers touch. You will set the architecture, run the platform, and build the foundation for products we have not launched yet.

Responsibilities

- Own the full stack end to end: React frontend, backend services and database, including the Fitment Explorer, product and category architecture, checkout, installation and consultation booking, accounts, and The Build Journal
- Build and maintain APIs that integrate the storefront with inventory, WhatsApp commerce, payments, logistics and order management
- Set the technical stack, coding standards and deployment pipeline, covering cloud hosting, server setup, environments and the release process
- Design for scale, so the platform handles catalogue growth and traffic spikes on campaign days
- Own application security and performance on an ongoing basis
- Implement automated testing, monitoring and uptime management
- Ship AI-assisted features across the customer journey
- Set standards for and review the work of the Junior Developer

Requirements





- 4+ years building production web applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong backend skills in Node.js or an equivalent, REST/GraphQL API design, and relational database modelling
- Hands-on cloud deployment experience: hosting, CI/CD, environment management and monitoring
- E-commerce experience with carts, checkout, payment gateway integration, and catalogue and variant logic
- A proven record of building a system from scratch and maintaining it in production
- Headless commerce experience is an advantage
