Work Overview:

We are looking for a sharp, ownership-driven Finance Manager to lead end-to-end finance function. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role encompassing controllership, financial planning & analysis, and business finance. You will be the go-to finance partner for the founders and leadership team, helping translate financial insights into strategic decisions as we scale.

The ideal candidate is a CA with strong startup DNA, comfort with ambiguity, and a track record of building robust finance systems in high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities

Controllership & Reporting (with the help of external accounting partner):

- Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with accuracy and robust governance
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with indian GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and reliable reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accounting hygiene, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements across the finance function.

Taxation & Compliance (with the help of external accounting partner):

- Oversee all direct and indirect tax filings,assessments, and reconciliations (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
- Lead statutory, tax, and internal audits; serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and legal partners.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and proactively assess their business implications.

Treasury, Debt & Cash Flow Management

- Manage treasury operations, working capital optimisation, and liquidity planning.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and track variances against plan.
- End to end ownership of banking relationship and process for debt and treasury to ensure the best way of funding working capital.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)

- Develop detailed annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario/sensitivity models.
- Provide monthly MIS, P&L; analysis,



and business unit performance dashboards to leadership.
- Identify cost optimisation opportunities and support margin improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align spend with growth priorities.

Business Finance & Strategic Support

- Partner with founders and business leads to evaluate new projects and go unit economics of the projects
- Partner with business teams on the revenue ops (including AR), Sales pipeline and customer contract closures.
- Support fundraising activities, investor reporting, due diligence processes, and board financial packs.

Process Improvement & Automation

- Design and implement SOPs to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across finance workflows.
- Build automation and controls across billing, revenue recognition, expense management, and reconciliation processes.
- Drive adoption of ERP and finance tools (e.g., Zoho ,Books) to scale operations efficiently.

Leadership & Team Building

- Build and mentor a high-performance finance team as the company scales.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making,ownership, and continuous improvement.

Role Requirements

- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)Mandatory
- Experience: 2-3 years of post-qualification experience; minimum 1-2 years in a startup, gaming, consumer tech, or digital media environment preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Indian taxation (direct & indirect), statutory audits, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience in FP&A;, treasury, and cash flow management
- Hands-on with accounting ERP systems (e.g., Zoho Books) and advanced Microsoft Excel / financial modelling
- Experience in investor reporting, due diligence support, or fund management is a strong plus
- Data-driven mindset with a keen eye for accuracy, process gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to distil complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced,ownership-driven environment with high accountability
