Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Controller to take ownership of the companys financial control, cost management, reporting, planning and business finance functions. The role requires a qualified and Semi qualified CA with 810 years of relevant experience who can independently manage finance operations, strengthen financial controls, drive cost optimization and provide meaningful financial insights to management. Candidates with experience in E-commerce, Retail, D2C, FMCG, Consumer Products or Distribution will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Controllership &
- Reporting

- Independently manage day-to-day accounting and maintain complete books of accounts.

- Own end-to-end financial controllership and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.

- Review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and management reports.

- Ensure timely and accurate MIS and financial reporting to management. Review accounting provisions, accruals, reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.

- Ensure compliance with applicable Ind AS and accounting standards.

Cost Control &

- Profitability

- Lead the companys cost control and cost optimization initiatives.

- Analyse cost drivers across Import procurement, operations, logistics, marketing, manpower and other business functions.

- Monitor actual costs against budgets and identify cost overruns.

- Conduct profitability and margin analysis across products, channels and business segments.

- Develop cost-control measures and work with business teams to improve operating margins.

- Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, investments and business decisions.

Budgeting, Forecasting &

- FP&A;





- Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process.

- Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasts and rolling financial projections.

- Conduct Budget vs. Actual and variance analysis.

- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support management decisions.

- Track business KPIs, revenue, margins, expenses and profitability.

- Provide actionable financial insights to management for business planning.

Working Capital &

- Cash Flow Management

- Monitor cash flow, collections, payables and working capital.

- Improve receivable and payable cycles and ensure efficient cash utilization.

- Prepare cash flow forecasts and fund requirement plans.

- Monitor inventory and working capital efficiency.

- Support management in optimizing cash conversion and liquidity.

Audit, Tax &

- Statutory Compliance

- Lead statutory, internal and tax audits and coordinate with external auditors and consultants.

- Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory compliances.

- Ensure audit readiness and timely closure of audit observations.

- Strengthen internal financial controls and governance frameworks. Identify financial risks and implement appropriate control mechanisms.

Business Finance &

- Management Support

- Partner with senior management and business teams on financial and commercial decisions.

- Provide financial analysis for pricing,



investments, expansion, procurement and cost initiatives.

- Prepare business cases and ROI analysis for strategic initiatives.

- Translate financial data into clear business insights and recommendations.

- Act as a finance business partner to Operations, Sales, Marketing and other functions.

Process Improvement &

- Team Management

- Develop and strengthen finance policies, SOPs and internal controls. Drive automation and process improvements across finance operations. Improve the accuracy, efficiency and timeliness of financial reporting.

- Lead, mentor and review the performance of the finance team.

- Ensure strong financial discipline across the organization.

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in Financial Controllership, FP&A; and Cost Management.

- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

- Solid understanding of Ind AS, taxation, audit and statutory compliance.

- Hands-on experience in cost accounting, profitability analysis and variance analysis.

- Strong working capital and cash flow management skills.

- Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills.

- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally or similar.

- Power BI / financial analytics exposure will be an added advantage.

- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership abilities.

Qualification &

- Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualified, Semi Qualified.

- UG in Commerece / PG in Commerece

- 5 to 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Finance &
- Accounts / Controllership / FP&A; / Business Finance.
