Senior Associate, Indirect Taxation (GST, Customs)

Traecit Consulting (Traecit Group) is seeking a Senior Associate – Finance & Accounts to join its growing Finance, Tax & Assurance practice in Chennai. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who wants exposure to global clients, end-to-end accounting, and compliance-driven growth environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with clients to collect relevant books, invoices, reconciliations, returns, financial statements, and other supporting documents.
- Draft replies to GST notices, summons, audit observations, ASMT communications, DRC proceedings, and other departmental correspondence.
- Prepare GST appeal documents, including statements of facts, grounds of appeal, written submissions, annexures, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in filing GST appeals and coordinate with clients, authorised representatives, and tax authorities.




- Attend or support GST personal hearings and prepare briefing notes for senior professionals.
- Prepare and file GST annual returns, including GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C, wherever applicable.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent finance qualification, with strong grounding in accounting and Indian tax basics.
- Experience: 4+ years in finance & accounts, indrect taxation, preferably in a consulting firm, CA firm, or multi-entity.​

Skills

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Working familiarity with GST and statutory compliances.
- Comfort with Excel and accounting/ERP software, along with solid attention to detail and deadlines.​

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams (tax, payroll, governance) and client stakeholders in India and abroad.​

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
