Role Description The Senior Executive – AI Development is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions that support Sampurna’s microfinance and socio-economic programs, such as risk assessment models, beneficiary profiling tools, and process automation systems.

The Senior

Executive will work closely with program, operations, and technology teams to understand business challenges, transform them into data and AI requirements, and implement usable, ethical AI applications. Typical responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines, training and evaluating machine learning models, preparing technical documentation, and monitoring performance of deployed solutions.



The role also requires contributing to AI strategy, ensuring data security and compliance, and providing guidance to colleagues on the effective and responsible use of AI in social development contexts.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in AI and machine learning, including model development, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI (such as Python or R) and familiarity with relevant frameworks and tools (for example, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience working with data pipelines, data cleaning, and basic data engineering concepts, including handling structured and unstructured data.
- Ability to translate organizational needs into AI solutions, including problem scoping, requirements gathering, and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of ethical AI practices, data privacy, and responsible use of technology in social and financial inclusion contexts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Prior experience in financial services, microfinance, social impact organizations, or development-sector technology is an advantage.
