Designation : Sr. Project Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

- Project Management.
- Engineering feasibility (Design and Tooling) review with customer.
- Interface with customer, cross functional team & vendors.
- Technical analysis of the new inquiries.
- Current application development.
- Should participation in Techno commercial discussions at customer end
- Selection and Negotiation with the vendors regarding cost/delivery/quality.
- Time Plan preparation as per customer guidelines for mold launch.
- New Tool /checking fixture/Gauge development for current projects.
- Design Review, FMEA.
- Should have the knowledge about injection Molding and production system.
- Support to customer in all Technical Aspects such as plastics moulds / fixtures / gauges, packing standards of parts, new Plastics material development etc.
- Approval of part / assembly in function and dimensional aspects at customer end, conduct various testing / trials in house or from outside source of parts as per requirement.
- Documentation as per TS standards & APQP.
- Regular Visit at customer and supplier side.
- Mould Trials & Buyoff from tool room.




- Should have the knowledge about basic design and Tooling.
- Experience of handling tier account and well acquainted of handling tier product development process.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) (Refers to individuals responsibility / accountability for the results)

- RFQ handling and feasibility study, Techno commercial proposal working and Project management.
- On time development and delivery of the Products to customer.
- Reporting the project status to customer and internal team.
- Look after the development activities with supplier. (BOP)
- Checking gauges, Fixture and SPM development.
- Tool development and Successful Handover to Plant.
- Attending customer complaints during development time of Project.
- Co-ordination with plant team for trials and other project related activities.

Required Skills

- An Engineering Degree or CIPET Graduate
- Should have similar experience of minimum 7-9 years
- Passport essential for Engineer position.
- Should possess knowledge on plastic process and Automobile Industry.
- Knowledgeable on commercial terminology.
