Job Summary
Overview In this position, the candidate will be working with cross-functional teams to support Linux-based automotive platform in a virtualized environment, and should have demonstrated ownership of Linux Vehicle platform enablement across customer programs. Integration and maintenance (upgrade) of Linux kernel and kernel platform components. Should have worked on diff kernel build strategies (Yocto-based and Bazel-based flows), kernel configuration, and version alignment.
Should have solid understanding of kernel bringup, boot validation, and early boot debugging in stand-alone and virtualized environments. Should have good development experience of device drivers or services/applications in Linux platform, kernel, features required for automotive virtualization use cases. Ability to customize LV builds for headless version, security-related distros.
Should be able to collaborate with global platform, kernel, and virtualization teams to deliver reliable releases. Driving technical discussions,
design reviews, and onboarding/ramp-up activities for kernel topics. Operating system concepts - scheduling, memory management, and device drivers.
Using debug tools like GDB, JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzeyears to 8 years experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
