Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior Linux Kernel Engineer with a strong background in Linux kernel porting, CVE vulnerability patching, and device driver development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Yocto and system build processes. Responsibilities
- Port Linux kernel to various hardware platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Identify, analyze, and patch CVE vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel and associated software.
- Develop and maintain device drivers for various hardware components.
- Utilize Yocto for building and customizing Linux distributions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of kernel and driver changes.
- Document processes, changes, and technical specifications for future reference.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience in driver development for Linux systems.
- Solid knowledge of Linux kernel architecture and internals.
- Experience with CVE vulnerability assessment and patching.
- Proficiency in Yocto and system build processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Experience with debugging tools and methodologies for kernel and driver development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Linux kernel development and driver programming.
