Project Manager Tool Room & Plastic Injection Moulding

Experience: 8 to 12 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Tool & Die / Production / Plastics/CIPET/NTTF

Responsible for end-to-end management of plastic injection mould development projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timeline, cost and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage projects from PO to tool validation, customer approval and production handover.
- Plan and monitor tool design, procurement, machining, assembly, trials and modifications.
- Coordinate T0/T1/T2 trials, dimensional validation, PPAP and customer approvals.
- Manage customers, tool designers, tool room, moulding, quality, purchase and external vendors.
- Monitor project schedule, cost, quality and critical-path activities.
- Identify project risks and drive corrective/recovery actions.
- Handle customer reviews,



project MIS and regular management reporting.
- Support tooling feasibility, costing and commercial discussions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulds and tool-room processes.
- Experience in mould trials, troubleshooting and mould modifications.
- Knowledge of DFM, GD&T;, APQP, PFMEA, PPAP.
- Robust project planning, customer handling and vendor management skills.
- Good communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
