About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, project execution, troubleshooting and site management. The candidate should have good technical knowledge of LT/HT electrical systems, electrical panels, DG sets, transformers, UPS systems and building electrical infrastructure.

The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of reviewing electrical drawings, preparing as-built drawings, coordinating with consultants/vendors and ensuring projects are executed safely and as per approved specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Maintenance

- Plan and supervise preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for electrical systems.

- Handle maintenance of

- LT/HT Panels
- MDBs, SMDBs and DBs

- Transformers
- DG Sets and AMF/ATS Panels

- UPS and Battery Systems

- APFC Panels
- MCCs and Motor Control Systems

- Electrical Distribution Systems
- Lighting and Emergency Lighting Systems
- Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems
- Diagnose electrical faults and coordinate corrective actions.
- Monitor electrical equipment health and identify potential failures through inspection, testing and thermography.
- Prepare and review Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Review electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power factor, load, harmonics and energy consumption.
- Coordinate shutdown activities, including preparation of shutdown plans, permits and safety procedures.
- Maintain proper maintenance records, service reports, checklists and equipment history.

1. Electrical Project Execution

- Manage execution of electrical projects from planning through commissioning and handover.

- Earthing and lightning protection systems

- APFC systems
- Electrical equipment and associated infrastructure
- Review electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, schematics and cable schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and other MEP agencies.
- Ensure projects are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and project schedule.
- Monitor site progress, manpower, material requirements and installation quality.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate testing & commissioning activities.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure.
- Assist in preparation of project documentation, test reports, commissioning reports and as-built drawings.

1. AutoCAD & Technical Documentation

- Prepare, modify and review Electrical AutoCAD drawings.
- Prepare electrical layouts, SLDs, panel layouts, cable routing drawings and equipment layouts.
- Update drawings based on actual site conditions and prepare as-built drawings.
- Review contractor/vendor drawings and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain proper revision control of drawings and technical documents.

1. Site & Team Management

- Supervise electrical technicians, electricians, contractors and subcontractors.
- Allocate manpower and monitor daily site activities.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure adherence to electrical safety procedures.
- Coordinate with civil, HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing, BMS and other MEP teams.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement/vendors.

- Ensure work is completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and communicate project issues to management.

1. Testing & Commissioning

- Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical installations.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance and/or project execution.
- Experience in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, data centres, manufacturing facilities or similar environments will be preferred.
