Primary skills: REST APIs, databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL), and CI/CD practices

Role Overview:

Mandatory Skills

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software design and development, with strong expertise in Drools Rules Engine.
- Proven experience architecting, designing, and implementing enterprise-scale business rules solutions using Drools.
- Deep understanding of rule authoring, decision tables, rule flows, complex event processing (CEP), and performance optimization.
- Strong experience integrating Drools with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Expertise in designing scalable, maintainable, and reusable rule frameworks and governance models.
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and enterprise architecture best practices.
- Experience leading technical design discussions, solution reviews, and mentoring development teams.
- Proficiency in REST APIs, databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL), and CI/CD practices.




- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with business teams to translate complex business requirements into robust rule-based solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with Camunda
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures, Kafka, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Decision Model and Notation (DMN) and business process automation.
- Familiarity with insurance, banking, payments, lending, or other highly regulated domains.
- Experience in modern DevOps practices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated testing frameworks.
- Relevant certifications in Java, Cloud, or Enterprise Architecture.

Preferred Profile:

- Strong architectural mindset with the ability to drive enterprise-wide rule management strategies.
- Excellent customer-facing and consulting skills.
- Ability to lead solutioning workshops, provide technical governance, and influence architecture decisions across teams.
