Position Title: Senior / Lead SiEPAN Design Engineer

Reporting To: Engineering Manager / Head – LV Switchgear Engineering

Location: Shivane, Pune.

Position Summary The Senior / Lead SiEPAN Design Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end engineering,

technical compliance, and design quality of Siemens SiEPAN low-voltage switchboards. The role involves design leadership, technical decision-making, compliance with applicable standards, coordination with cross-functional teams, and mentoring of junior engineers to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

 Lead the design and engineering of SiEPAN LV switchboards including PCC, MCC, PDB,

APFC, and special application panels

 Review and approve GA drawings, internal layouts, busbar designs, electrical schematics, and BOM/MTO

 Ensure compliance with IEC 61439, IS standards, and Siemens SiEPAN guidelines

Technical Compliance & Validation

 Finalize selection and sizing of LV switchgear components

 Validate short-circuit withstand, temperature rise, and protection coordination

 Ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability requirements are met

Leadership & Team Management

 Mentor and guide junior engineers

 Review deliverables and enforce design standardization

 Develop and maintain engineering standards and templates

Cross-Functional Coordination

 Coordinate with project, manufacturing, procurement, and QA teams

 Provide technical support during assembly, FAT,



and inspections

 Resolve shop-floor and site-level design issues

Customer & Stakeholder Interaction

 Act as technical interface with customers, consultants, and OEMs

 Handle technical clarifications, deviations, and value engineering

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

 Ensure complete and accurate engineering documentation

 Support as-built drawings and final dossiers

 Drive continuous improvement in design practices

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

Siemens SiEPAN certification or formal training (preferred)

Experience

6–12 years of experience in LV switchboard design

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens SiEPAN systems

Technical Skills

 Expertise in LV switchgear and power distribution systems

 Proficiency in AutoCAD / EPLAN

 Knowledge of Siemens SiEPAN design tools

 MS Excel for calculations and BOM preparation

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
