Job Summary iSource Services is hiring for one of their client for the position of Senior Database Administrator: AI-Driven DBA

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in database architecture and design, query optimization, performance tuning, administration, scalability, troubleshooting, and automation. This is an AI-driven DBA role.

Candidates must actively use AI tools in their day-to-day database work to improve productivity, troubleshoot issues faster, optimize SQL, analyze performance, assist with database design, and automate routine DBA activities. Our interview process will have a significant focus on AI-assisted DBA problem solving, in addition to evaluating robust database fundamentals.

Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MS SQL & MySQL
- Excellent SQL, indexing & execution plan analysis skills
- Experience in performance tuning, backup/recovery and production support
- Strong knowledge of database security, transactions, locking & concurrency
- Hands-on use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude or Gemini
- Scripting/automation experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
- Cloud database and migration experience is an added advantage
