Data Engineer/Database Migration Developer (GCP, Python, Bigquery, SQL, Data Migration)

This is essentially a Data Engineer / Database Migration Developer role with solid cloud exposure.

The hiring manager needs someone who can:

Move and transform large datasets.

Support database migration activities.

Build and maintain ETL pipelines.

Work within Google's cloud ecosystem.

Write automation scripts and troubleshoot data issues.

Support ongoing migration efforts during a 6-month engagement.

The strongest candidates will likely come from Data Engineering , Database Engineering , ETL Development , or Cloud Data Migration backgrounds.

What They Really Need (Non-Technical Translation)





Imagine a company moving millions of customer, pharmacy, retail, or business records from one system to another.

This person will

Extract data from old systems.

Clean and transform the data.

Load it into new cloud databases.

Validate that nothing was lost during migration.

Automate repetitive processes.

Troubleshoot data issues quickly.

Support production migration events.

The role feels more like a hands-on data migration engineer than a traditional software developer.
