We are seeking an experienced Backend Data Engineer to architect, build, and optimize next-generation analytical data lakes and high-speed search platforms. You will solve complex business challenges by modeling massive datasets and ensuring fast, low-latency data retrieval.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate complex business problems into scalable data lake architectures.
- Build and manage contemporary data lakes using open table formats (Apache Iceberg, handling schema evolution, partitioning, and compaction strategies .
- Model and process large volumes of complex data to drive downstream analytics and high-performance querying .
- Implement and tune search and analytics engines (OpenSearch for real-time document indexing and low-latency search layers .
- Write high-throughput data ingestion pipelines, backend services, and test frameworks using C# / .NET.
- Provision and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS (utilizing S3 tiers and lifecycle policies)



alongside Kubernetes / Amazon EKS .

Qualifications

- Core Engineering: 8 years of professional backend software development experience with expert-level proficiency in C# / .NET Core .
- Data Architecture: Demonstrated history of designing, scaling, and maintaining production-grade data lakes and data warehouses .
- Modern Table Formats: Deep hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg features including custom partitioning and compaction .
- Search Technologies: Practical implementation background with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for enterprise search and log indexing .
- Cloud & Containers: Strong competencies in AWS storage tiers and Kubernetes orchestration .
- Nice to Have: Exposure to distributed processing engines such as Apache Spark, Trino, or Flink
