Role & responsibilitie

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with Data Science background to support Data Democratization initiatives across Daikins enterprise systems and data platforms. In this role, you will partner closely with various business domain stakeholders, Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Power BI teams to design and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.

This position includes end-to-end data analysis activities, including requirements gathering, evaluation of existing reports and data sources, solution design support, and Agile delivery execution. The ideal candidate is hands-on with SQL and data analysis, possesses working knowledge of Databricks systems, and is comfortable translating business needs into clear actionable technical requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform detailed data analysis for all data assets across bronze, silver and gold layers in Databricks and evaluate them for data quality and completeness for building data products
- Build data products in Atlan using data assets available in Databricks
- Create self-service analytics models and visualizations using Sigma Computing tools
- Analyze existing reports and datasets to identify opportunities for consolidation, standardization, or decommissioning
- Perform SQL-based data extraction, validation, and analysis
- Document data flows into downstream reporting platforms
- Collaborate with Data Modeling and Power BI teams to design and deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions
- Write user stories and define acceptance criteria to support Agile development of business requirements in Azure Dev Ops
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring stakeholder approval prior to production deployment
- As a part of Data Products team, deliver and maintain accurate, complete and timely data sets while taking into account the business interests and needs internally & externally




- This role will involve working with the team and the management on a variety of initiatives related to Data Democratization operations
- Deliver on predefined individual and team targets including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence
- Keeps up-to-date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge by understanding industry trends and reporting standards
- Provides input and ideas for current data collection methods and enhancements related to the respective processes
- Troubleshoot problems or issues and provide support to the data engineering team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Experience in Data Analysis for Data & Reporting products
- Strong hands-on data analysis skills using Python, SQL, Databricks, and Power BI
- Strong quantitative, analytical and interpretive skills
- Experience with Oracle, Salesforce data schemas; ability to map data flows from source systems to Databricks
- Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment, while following flexible schedule to meet deadlines




- Able to present clearly and persuasively, listen and solicit clarification, and respond articulately to questions
- Follows policies and procedures and supports the organization's goals and values
- Can coordinate multiple parallel initiatives, communicate changes and progress, and complete deliverables on time and within budget
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in mathematical, written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- 8+ years of experience with Power BI, Tableau and BI tools
- Working knowledge of Databricks/ Snowflake administration/architecture and capabilities
- Ability to query and display large datasets while maximizing the performance of the workbook
- Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications
- Work with business stakeholders to create valuable reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or add value to the team
- High-level competency in Excel (macros, V look ups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions
- A solid understanding of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience in Data Engineering and/ or Data Science
- Familiarity or experience with Atlan and/ or Sigma Computing tools is a plus
