Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Camunda Developer with strong hands-on experience in Camunda BPM/Zeebe, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in Camunda migration projects, including Camunda 7 to Camunda 8 migrations, engine upgrades, and platform/cloud migrations.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, migrating, integrating, and optimizing enterprise workflow and BPM solutions while providing technical leadership to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement BPMN 2.0 workflows and DMN decision models using Camunda.
- Lead end-to-end Camunda migration projects, including Camunda 7 to Camunda 8, on-premise to SaaS/Cloud, and version upgrades.
- Analyze existing process models, identify migration risks, and define migration strategies and roadmaps.
- Develop custom Java delegates, connectors, REST APIs, and integrations with external systems.
- Work with Zeebe, gRPC, and job workers in Camunda 8 environments.
- Optimize process performance, exception handling, and incident/error management.
- Configure and manage Camunda engine deployments, clustering, and job executor tuning.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into automated workflows.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, troubleshooting,



and production support.
- Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for process application deployments.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of BPM applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of overall software development experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Camunda BPM/Zeebe.
- Proven experience in Camunda migration projects, preferably Camunda 7 → Camunda 8.
- Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0, DMN, and CMMN.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Camunda Modeler, Cockpit, Tasklist, and Optimize.
- Hands-on experience with Zeebe, gRPC, and Job Workers.
- Strong SQL and database knowledge with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
- Experience with messaging/integration technologies such as Kafka, JMS, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.
- Hands-on exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have
- Camunda Certification – Camunda Certified Developer/Skilled.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
