Responsibilities

- In this role, you will develop secure, scalable automation and observability solutions, enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities, support incident response through participation in a global on-call roster, and proactively maintain platform reliability and security. You will drive continuous improvement through optimisation of automation processes, adoption of emerging database technologies, and the creation and maintenance of high-quality documentation as a core engineering practice.

Requirements

- 3 to 4 years experience in an engineering role with exposure to database platforms, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and Aurora production environments.

- Solid programming and automation skills using Python, Ansible, and PowerShell,



with the ability to troubleshoot and support complex automation solutions.

- Solid understanding of database concepts, T-SQL, cloud services, and automation frameworks leveraging AWS technologies.

- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management practices to maintain platform reliability and performance.

- Proficiency in version control and software delivery practices, including GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently while maintaining a customer-focused mindset.

- Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience managing change, incident, and problem management processes; relevant database or cloud certifications are advantageous.
