We're Hiring: Senior Accountant – Gross Margin Accounting & Reporting

Are you an experienced accounting professional with expertise in Gross Margin Accounting, Revenue Reporting, Settlements Accounting, and Financial Close Processes? We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for power and gas transactions.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

✅ Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reports.

✅ Own and maintain Gross Margin Accounting and Reporting processes.

✅ Analyze revenue, settlements, costs, and gross margin variances to support business decisions.

✅ Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.

✅ Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Risk, FP&A;, and Settlements teams to ensure accurate financial results.

✅ Support internal and external audits while strengthening financial controls.

✅ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Required Qualifications

✔ CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

✔ 3-5 years of experience in Retail Power, Natural Gas Settlements, Energy Trading, Commodity Settlements, or a similar industry.

✔ Strong experience in Gross Margin Accounting, Revenue Accounting, and Settlements Accounting.





✔ Hands-on expertise in Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, including:

- Month-end close
- Journal entries & accruals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial reporting
- Book close activities

✔ Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial statement reporting. ✔ Advanced Excel and analytical skills.

✔ Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Risk, FP&A;, and Settlements teams.

✔ Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS is preferred.

✔ Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and SQL is an advantage.

✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a rapid-paced environment.

✔ Flexibility to support US business hours.
