Lavni Ventures is an early-stage deep-tech impact fund (CAT II AIF) investing in Climate and Health. We back founders solving hard, meaningful problems from India for the world, writing cheques at pre-seed to Series A. We are a small, hands-on team who likes to move fast.

About the role

We are looking for someone who can run the investment process end to end, from finding a deal to closing it. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership early, enjoys being on the ground with founders, and can go deep on both the technology and the business. We value how you think and drive the investment process. Someone curious and genuinely interested in how technologies, businesses, markets, and investment structuring work would be the ideal candidate for this role.

What you will do

- Source deals actively. Spend time on the ground at incubators, accelerators, demo days, and investor networking events. Aptitude to build a network and be connected with the venture capital ecosystem.
- Travel will be required to attend in-person incubator / accelerator / demo days / meetings as appropriate.
- Run screening calls with startups, assess fit with our thesis, and bring the promising ones to the deal team.
- Drive diligence. Gather data from founders as needed, analyze financial and business models, and pressure-test the investment case.
- Coordinate the deal through to the Investment Committee.
- Own the legal close.



Draft term sheets, read and work through SSAs, SHAs, and other definitive documents, and drive legal diligence to a clean close alongside our lawyers.
- Support the compliance team with the post-closing regulatory filings.
- Support portfolio monitoring and take on special projects as they come up.

What we are looking for

- Experience: 2+ years of investment experience.
- Someone who has closed 2-4 deals end to end, or has been close enough to the full process to grow into running it independently with guidance.
- Communication: Someone who can communicate clearly to build conviction in a deal/thesis.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical instincts. Comfortable analyzing financial models and business plans to form a clear view.
- Comfortable with legal documentation and willing to get into the details of definitive agreements.
- High ownership mindset, be a self-starter who can work independently in a remote setup and still stay close to the team.
- Positive with people. You can build trust with founders quickly and represent the fund well.
- An AI-first way of working, using AI tools to work faster and sharper across the whole investment process.
