Role & responsibilities :

1. Overall Purpose

- Owns the company's accounting and tax compliance function end-to-end

- Expected to work independently with minimal supervision, given the 5-7 years experience requirement.

2. End-to-End Accounting

- Maintains books of accounts (purchases, sales, expenses, journal entries) through to finalization

- Ensures all statutory deadlines are met to avoid penalties or notices

3. GST Compliance

- Files monthly/quarterly returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)

- Handles input tax credit reconciliation.

4.

Income

Tax

- Computes tax liability and advance tax

- Assists with/files the company's income tax returns

5.

Financial

Reporting & Reconciliation

- Prepares periodic financial statements (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow)

- Supports internal and statutory auditors

Key Skill

Requirements

- Tally ERP/Prime: advanced, hands-on use reports, reconciliation, multi-company handling (not just data entry)

- MS Excel: for reconciliations, MIS reports, and analysis beyond Tally's direct output
