About the Role

Orbit Serviced Apartments is looking for a highly experienced, responsible and disciplined Senior Accountant to take ownership of our overall accounting and finance function.

This is a senior, high-responsibility position. The selected candidate will not be responsible only for Orbit Serviced Apartments. In addition to the main business accounts, the person will also manage other smaller business and family accounts.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely expert in accounting, capable of working independently, highly organized and looking for a long-term association.

The ideal candidate should be someone management can rely on to keep accounts accurate, updated, reconciled and properly controlled without requiring constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle complete accounting and finance operations independently
- Manage accounts from daily accounting through finalization
- Prepare and review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and ledgers
- Handle GST, TDS and statutory accounting requirements
- Bank reconciliation and all major account reconciliations
- Vendor and customer ledger management
- Receivables, payables and cash-flow monitoring
- Hotel / hospitality revenue accounting and OTA reconciliation
- Review expenses and identify accounting discrepancies
- Coordinate with CA, auditors and other professional advisors
- Prepare financial reports and information required by management




- Maintain proper accounting documentation and records
- Ensure books are consistently updated and reconciled
- Handle multiple smaller business and family accounts
- Maintain complete confidentiality of family and business financial information
- Establish and maintain proper accounting systems, controls and discipline

Hotel / Hospitality Experience – Mandatory The main business is a serviced-apartment / hospitality operation, therefore candidates must have substantial practical experience in hotel or hospitality accounting. Experience should include areas such as:

- Hotel / serviced-apartment revenue accounting
- OTA settlements and commissions
- Daily revenue reconciliation
- Hospitality expenses and vendor accounting
- Hotel accounting systems / PMS integration
- GST and other hospitality-related accounting requirements

However, this is not a hotel-only accounting position. The person must be strong in overall accounting and capable of managing different types of accounts. The Person We Are Looking For

Mandatory Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred
- Strong hotel / hospitality accounting experience – mandatory
- Must have practical experience handling accounts up to finalization
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Must be capable of independently managing multiple sets of accounts
- Candidates from purely junior / bookkeeping / data-entry backgrounds will not be considered
- Candidates with frequent job changes may not be suitable
- Candidates living around Khar West, Bandra, Santacruz or nearby areas are preferred

Important This is a long-term, trust-based position.

We are not looking for someone who simply completes assigned accounting entries. We are looking for a senior professional who takes ownership of the entire accounting function, maintains discipline and accuracy, and can be trusted with both business and family accounts.

Hotel / hospitality experience is mandatory, but the role itself covers overall accounting and multiple accounts.
