Role Description:

The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai will prepare and review financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.

Accountant will analyse financial performance, provide cost and margin insights related to manufacturing and exports, and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.



The role will collaborate closely with leadership, production, and supply chain teams to align financial reporting with business goals and support audits and interactions with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing or export-oriented operations, preferably in a similar industry.
- Proficiency in tax compliance and regulatory requirements, including indirect taxes, statutory filings, and coordination with auditors.
- Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP software; ability to analyse data, create reports, and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, operations, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, with a track record of improving processes and strengthening internal controls.
