Karnataka ..The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial records, and preparing timely and accurate financial reports. This position requires someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior
Accountant will work closely with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and aligned with organizational goals, and will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance efforts.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow).
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Prepare consolidated financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely reporting.
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring that all journal entries are properly documented and supported.
- Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries for accurate reporting of financial data.
- Ensure proper allocation of costs and ensure all balances are reconciled.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Oversee the aging analysis and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Implement best practices to streamline AP and AR processes.
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparing tax filings (e.g., VAT/GST/TDS, payroll taxes, etc.).
- Prepare and file periodic tax returns and ensure proper documentation for tax audits.
- Collaborate with external auditors on tax-related matters and assist in tax planning.
