Senior Finance & ERP Migration Consultant – Zoho Books

Role Overview

Lead end-to-end accounting data migration and Zoho Books implementation projects — from client ERP assessment through reconciliation, validation, and Go-Live — while managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess client accounting processes and ERP data (Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Busy, Marg, etc.) and plan migration approach
- Lead migration of Chart of Accounts, Customers/Vendors, Items, Opening Balances, Invoices, Bills, Journal Entries, Bank Transactions, Fixed Assets, and Inventory into Zoho Books
- Own reconciliation and validation of Trial Balance, GL, P&L;, Balance Sheet, AR/AP, and Bank/Inventory balances; resolve discrepancies and sign off before client handover
- Apply audit-level scrutiny to identify unusual or incorrect entries and review accounting treatment (accruals, provisions, depreciation, GST, etc.)
- Lead the accounting side of Zoho Books implementation — configuration, testing, UAT,



and final validation
- Independently manage multiple client engagements as primary point of contact
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants; review deliverables for quality
- Manage project plans, timelines, and cross-team coordination
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities for clients

Required Skills

- Strong accounting fundamentals (double-entry, GL, reconciliation, fixed assets, GST)
- ERP/data migration experience across one or more platforms; Zoho Books a plus
- Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, data cleansing/reconciliation)
- Strong client management, leadership, and mentoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CA or equivalent
- 5+ years at Manager/Assistant Manager level in audit, CA firm, accounting/finance consulting, ERP implementation, or finance & accounts
- Proven experience handling multiple clients simultaneously
