Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and student-focused SEL Teacher to support the social, emotional, and interpersonal development of students. The candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate SEL sessions, fostering a safe and inclusive classroom environment, and working closely with students, teachers, and parents to support overall student well-being.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct engaging Social Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions for students across assigned grades.
- Develop age-appropriate activities and learning experiences focused on self-awareness, self-management, empathy, communication, relationships, and responsible decision-making.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.
- Identify students who may require additional emotional or behavioural support and coordinate with the school counsellor and relevant stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and coordinators to integrate SEL practices into the wider school environment.
- Conduct individual and group activities to develop students' emotional awareness, resilience, confidence, and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records related to SEL interventions, observations, and student progress.
- Participate in parent interactions and provide appropriate updates regarding students' social-emotional development when required.
- Support school-wide well-being initiatives, workshops, awareness programs, and student development activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and safeguarding guidelines.




- Stay updated on current SEL practices, student well-being approaches, and age-appropriate intervention strategies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Relevant certification or training in Social Emotional Learning, Counselling, Child Psychology, or Student Well-being will be an advantage.
- Prior experience working with school-age children in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, classroom management, and facilitation skills.
- Empathy, patience, emotional maturity, and a student-centric approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, counsellors, coordinators, and parents.
