Section Head – Finance & Accounts

Critical Tasks

1. Strategy

- Develop and implement finance strategies aligned with organizational objectives.

- Drive financial governance, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation across finance processes.

- Support management decision-making through financial insights and risk assessments.

2. Execution

- Oversee maintenance of books of accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

- Review financial statements, schedules, reconciliations, and management reports.

- Ensure timely preparation and submission of MIS, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis reports.

- Monitor working capital, financial performance, and key business metrics.

- Coordinate with operational and functional teams to support business objectives.

3. Governance

- Lead internal, statutory, tax, secretarial, and cost audit engagements.

- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.





- Strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks across the organization.

- Ensure adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.

- Facilitate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation within finance operations.

People

Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

- Conduct periodic performance reviews and competency assessments.

- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

- Ensure effective succession planning and capability building within the function.

5. Technology & Digitalization

- Leverage ERP systems and digital tools for effective finance operations.

- Drive automation of accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance processes.

- Implement dashboards and analytics tools for improved financial visibility and decision-making.

- Support digital transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and control effectiveness.
