Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum.

- Teach concepts such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Demand and Supply, Production, Markets, National Income, and Economic Development, as applicable to the prescribed syllabus.

- Explain economic theories, concepts, principles, and real-world applications effectively.

- Develop students' analytical, critical thinking, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

- Use interactive teaching strategies, including case studies, group discussions, debates, projects, and real-world examples.

- Help students understand current economic issues and their impact on individuals, businesses, and society.

- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, question papers, and teaching-learning materials.

- Teach students to interpret economic graphs, charts, tables, and statistical information.

- Conduct classroom assessments, assignments, projects, quizzes, and periodic examinations.

- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial guidance.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, assessments, and progress.

- Encourage students to participate in Economics-related projects, exhibitions, quizzes, and competitions.

- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.

- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas for improvement.

- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and departmental meetings.

- Collaborate with teachers and coordinators for interdisciplinary projects and academic planning.

- Participate in school events, assemblies, workshops, and extracurricular activities.

- Maintain student portfolios and other required academic documentation.

- Follow school policies, curriculum guidelines, and child-safety procedures.





- Participate in professional development and teacher-training programs.

- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the School Leadership Team.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics / relevant discipline.

- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.

- Candidates with additional qualifications in Economics Education will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience as a Secondary Economics Teacher.

- Experience teaching Economics at the secondary level is preferred.

- Experience in CBSE / ICSE or reputed school environments will be an advantage.
