The Opportunity: We have an opportunity for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our new Cloud Delivery Assurance (CDA) team in Bangalore or Pune, India, reporting to the Director, Cloud Delivery Assurance. In this pivotal role, you will write the software that decides whether our SaaS software is ready to ship. You will develop automated tests and pipeline checks, extend our shared automation framework, and build the reporting that shows whether a release candidate is safe to promote from dev clusters to integration and staging clusters and into production.

Collaborating closely with platform and application engineering teams, Solutions QA (end-to-end functional testing), Site Reliability Engineering (stress, scale, HA, DR, and chaos testing), and DevOps, you will turn test results into gate decisions and readiness signals that engineers trust. This is an opportunity to shape how quality is engineered across the platform, not simply to validate software after it is built. You are the ideal candidate if you are a solid coder who enjoys quality and delivery systems, are comfortable in Kubernetes and Linux, and use AI-assisted development to move faster than a traditional test team ever could.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for services, APIs, integrations, deployments, and upgrade paths on a Kubernetes-based SaaS platform.
- Extend shared automation frameworks, libraries,



test utilities, and test environments that enable fast, consistent validation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, including pre-merge, build, deploy, post-deploy, and scheduled certification runs.
- Implement quality-gate checks that control artifact promotion, including pass/fail evaluation, evidence collection, and automated rollback on failure.
- Automate deployment and upgrade validation such as smoke tests, health checks, and rollback rehearsal on dev, integration, and staging clusters.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports covering coverage, test results, flakiness, and defect trends.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools to generate and maintain test coverage and to speed up tooling work.
- Triage failures across code, tests, environments, and pipelines, and route product defects to the right owning team.
- Improve the reliability, speed, and maintainability of test suites and test infrastructure.
- Participate in design and code reviews and document test strategies, automation patterns, and runbooks.

Be Prepared - What You Bring

- Four or more years of software engineering, test automation, or quality engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Python, Java, or JavaScript,



with the ability to write production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience developing test automation and integrating it into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo, or Spinnaker.
- Working system-level knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux - workloads, networking, storage, Helm, logs, and debugging - plus practical experience with a public cloud such as AWS or GCP.
- Internal DevOps skills including containers, infrastructure as code such as Terraform, and building or operating test environments.
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and test generation.
- Experience testing distributed systems and microservices, including REST or gRPC APIs and cloud-native applications.
- Ability to analyze failures using logs, metrics, traces, and test results, with exposure to observability tooling.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills and a bias for automation over manual effort.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

- Experience with performance, resilience, contract, or security testing; progressive delivery and canary validation; release engineering; and contributions to shared engineering frameworks or developer-productivity tooling.
