We are looking for a Software Development Engineer 1 – Backend with strong programming and problem-solving skills to build and improve backend systems in a fast-paced product/startup environment.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies and a strong foundation in backend development, APIs, databases, and data structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs
- Work with Go, Python, or similar backend technologies
- Build reliable and scalable production features
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Work with databases and design efficient data access patterns
- Debug and resolve technical and production issues
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams
- Contribute to improving application performance and reliability
- Take ownership of assigned features from development through deployment
Must-Have Requirements
- 1–2 years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience in backend development
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or a similar programming language
- Strong problem-solving and coding skills
- Valuable understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms
- Understanding of REST APIs and databases
- Good understanding of backend engineering fundamentals
- Experience building real-world/production applications
- Prior experience in a product-based company or startup preferred
