TMU Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Scrub Nurse to support surgical procedures and ensure safe, efficient, and quality patient care within the Operation Theatre. The candidate will assist surgical teams, maintain sterile conditions, and contribute to effective operation theatre management in accordance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures.
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile conditions in the Operation Theatre.
- Perform surgical instrument and equipment counts before and after procedures.
- Ensure the availability and proper handling of surgical instruments and consumables.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthesia staff, and other healthcare professionals during surgeries.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital clinical protocols.
- Assist in maintaining Operation Theatre records and documentation.




- Support the smooth functioning and productive management of Operation Theatre activities.

Requirements

- GNM / B.Sc. (Nursing) / P.B.B.Sc. Nursing qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Operation Theatre procedures and management.
- Hands-on knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and Operation Theatre practices.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments, equipment handling, and infection control protocols.
- Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment and support rotational shifts when required.
