Job Objective To provide effective and engaging Science education, develop students’ scientific knowledge and curiosity, and encourage observation, experimentation, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver effective Science lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach concepts related to Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science as prescribed for the assigned classes.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and study materials.
- Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic schedule.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, examinations and revision sessions.
- Evaluate students’ work and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and conduct remedial classes.
- Conduct demonstrations, experiments, practical activities and project-based learning wherever applicable.
- Encourage students to develop scientific thinking, observation, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Use models, charts, laboratory equipment, videos, presentations and digital resources to make Science lessons engaging.
- Guide students in preparing Science projects, models and presentations.
- Ensure proper discipline and safety during laboratory and practical activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic performance and student progress.




- Communicate students’ academic progress and concerns to parents when required.
- Participate actively in Science exhibitions, quizzes, competitions, school functions and co-curricular activities.
- Encourage students to take an interest in scientific developments and everyday applications of Science.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and the school administration.
- Attend staff meetings, training programmes and other duties assigned by the Principal/Management.
- Maintain professional conduct and follow all school rules, policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science / relevant Science subject.
- B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Science concepts and the prescribed curriculum.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Basic computer and digital teaching skills.
- Previous teaching experience will be an advantage.
