School Nurse –

We are looking for a qualified and experienced School Nurse with strong knowledge of nursing practices, first aid, basic emergency care, and child healthcare. The candidate should have successfully completed a recognized Nursing course (GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, ANM, or equivalent) and possess 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, clinic, or hospital setting.

The candidate should be responsible, compassionate, attentive, and capable of handling medical situations involving students and staff professionally.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Provide basic healthcare and first aid assistance to students and staff during school hours.
- Assess and respond promptly to injuries, illnesses, accidents, and medical emergencies.
- Have thorough knowledge of first aid, CPR, basic life support (BLS), wound care, bleeding control, fractures, burns, fever, fainting, allergies, and other common emergencies.
- Maintain and manage the school medical room, ensuring all essential medical supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained.
- Administer medication to students only with appropriate parental/medical authorization and maintain proper medication records.
- Monitor students with existing health conditions, allergies, disabilities, or special medical requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, medical histories, treatment records, and incident reports.
- Conduct basic health checks such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and general health observations when required.




- Identify symptoms of common illnesses and provide appropriate initial care or recommend medical consultation when necessary.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns, injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies.
- Communicate with teachers and school management regarding students who require medical attention or special health-related support.
- Coordinate with hospitals, doctors, ambulance services, and other healthcare professionals during serious emergencies.
- Ensure emergency contact details and medical information of students are updated and readily accessible.
- Support and coordinate periodic health check-up camps, dental check-ups, eye examinations, vaccination programmes, and other school health initiatives.
- Promote hygiene, sanitation, nutrition, personal health, and healthy habits among students.
- Conduct basic health and safety awareness sessions for students and staff when required.
- Monitor the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the school medical room.
- Check the availability and expiry dates of medicines, first-aid materials, and emergency supplies regularly.
- Maintain proper documentation of medicines used, first-aid treatments provided, and referrals made.
- Follow school policies,



healthcare protocols, confidentiality requirements, and child-safeguarding procedures.
- Be available during school events, sports activities, field trips, and other programmes where medical support may be required.
- Handle sensitive student health information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Perform any other healthcare-related responsibilities assigned by the school management.

Educational Qualification
- Completed GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / ANM / equivalent recognized nursing qualification.
- Valid nursing registration/licence as applicable.
- 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in a school, pediatric, hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare environment will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
