Scenario Validation Engineer – Autonomous Driving Planner Testing

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Scenario Validation Engineer to support validation and testing of Autonomous Driving Planner functionalities. The ideal candidate should possess solid logical reasoning skills, hands-on scripting experience, and a good understanding of vehicle driving behavior and traffic scenarios. The role involves creating, maintaining, and automating simulation scenarios to ensure comprehensive functional test coverage for planner behavior.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain scenario-based tests to ensure functional coverage of Autonomous Driving Planner features.
- Develop new scenario validation tests using both GUI-based and CLI-based automation frameworks (Scenario Editor/GLI frameworks).
- Analyze, triage, and debug simulation test failures.
- Perform maintenance and updates of existing test scenarios.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for failed simulations and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
- Create and maintain test plans aligned with planner feature requirements.
- Update test suites to accommodate newly introduced planner functionalities.
- Identify common failure patterns and execute bulk updates across simulation test suites.
- Explore and implement automation approaches for scenario generation and test maintenance.




- Perform fuzz testing and scenario variation testing to improve planner robustness.
- Work closely with software developers and validation teams to improve product quality and functional coverage.

Mandatory Skills ✅ 2-6 years of experience in Software Testing, Validation, or Scenario-Based Testing

✅ Strong Shell Scripting skills

✅ Good knowledge of Git/GitLab/GitHub version control systems

✅ Good understanding of Driving Mechanics and Vehicle Behavior

✅ Strong logical and analytical thinking for scenario creation and validation

✅ Experience in debugging and root cause analysis of software issues

✅ Exposure to Linux-based development environments

✅ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

- Experience in Autonomous Driving, ADAS, or Autonomous Vehicle Validation.
- Exposure to Simulation Platforms and Scenario-Based Testing.
- Knowledge of Python scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
- Understanding of traffic rules, vehicle dynamics, and planner algorithms.
- Experience with Fuzz Testing and Test Automation.
