Vistex Functional Logistics / SCM Consultant with Farm Management

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Vistex Functional Logistics / SCM Consultant with robust expertise in SAP SCM, Vistex, and Farm Management implementations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Open Field Farm Management, with Greenhouse Management experience being highly desirable. The role will focus on integrating farm operations with SAP/Vistex supply-chain processes covering procurement, inventory, materials, planting, harvesting, production, logistics, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead functional design and implementation of Vistex and SAP SCM solutions for agriculture/farm operations.
- Work on Farm Management implementations, preferably in Open Field Farming environments.
- Analyze and configure end-to-end agricultural supply-chain processes from farm planning through planting, cultivation, harvesting, storage, and distribution.
- Design integration between Vistex, SAP MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, and Farm Management processes.
- Support farm and field master-data processes, including:
- Farms, fields/plots and locations
- Crops and varieties
- Planting/crop cycles
- Agricultural inputs
- Seeds, fertilizers, chemicals and other materials
- Harvest and yield information
- Configure and support procurement and inventory management for farm inputs and agricultural materials.
- Support purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, inventory movements, transfers, and consumption processes.
- Design processes for tracking agricultural materials from procurement through farm usage and harvest.
- Support harvest management, yield capture, stock movements, storage, and logistics.
- Work with Vistex functionality related to pricing, contracts, rebates, settlements, claims, and incentives, where applicable to the supply-chain process.




- Ensure seamless integration between farm operations, SAP MM/SD/PP and Vistex.
- Gather requirements from agriculture, procurement, supply-chain, warehouse, logistics, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, configuration documents, test scripts, and training materials.
- Coordinate with ABAP, integration, mobility, finance, and technical teams for end-to-end solution delivery.
- Lead/participate in SIT, UAT, cutover, deployment, go-live, and post-production support.
- Troubleshoot functional issues and perform root-cause analysis across farm and supply-chain processes.

Open Field Farm Management – Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in Open Field Agriculture/Farm Management are strongly preferred, particularly exposure to:

- Farm, field and plot management
- Crop and variety master data
- Crop planning and seasonal planning
- Planting and cultivation activities
- Farm inputs and material management
- Fertilizer, chemical and seed management
- Labor and machinery/equipment planning
- Harvest planning and execution
- Yield management
- Harvest collection and movement
- Farm inventory and stock management
- Warehouse/storage integration
- Farm-to-warehouse logistics
- Procurement of agricultural inputs
- Transportation and distribution
- Traceability of crops/materials
- Integration with SAP MM/SD/PP/WM/EWM

Greenhouse Experience – Strong Advantage Experience with Greenhouse Farm Management is highly desirable, including:

- Greenhouse master/setup

- Fertilizer and chemical consumption
- Production and yield tracking
- Harvest management
- Inventory and warehouse integration

Required Skills

- Strong functional experience in SAP Logistics / SCM.
- Hands-on experience with Vistex functional solutions.
- Experience in SAP MM, SD and/or PP.
- Experience in Farm Management / Agriculture / Agribusiness solutions.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, warehouse, production, logistics, and distribution processes.
- Experience with Vistex pricing, contracts, rebates, settlements, or related SCM processes.
- Strong requirement gathering and functional solution-design capabilities.
- Experience working with technical teams on ABAP, interfaces, APIs, and integration.
- Strong testing, documentation, stakeholder-management, and production-support experience.
