Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) & Archiving Consultant to manage data archiving, data retention, and compliance requirements across SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP data archiving, ILM configuration, and implementation of data retention policies in compliance with business and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement SAP Data Archiving and SAP ILM solutions

- Configure and manage SAP ILM policies (Retention Management & Retention Warehouse)

- Implement data archiving objects and monitor archiving jobs

- Work on Archive Administration (SARA), data retention rules, and residence rules

- Support GDPR and other regulatory compliance requirements through ILM

- Perform archiving object analysis and volume management

- Configure and manage WebDAV content repositories

- Manage integration with content servers (OpenText or similar)

- Conduct archiving testing, validation, and documentation

- Support audit and compliance teams for data retention requirements





- Provide performance optimization related to data growth and database management

- Collaborate with functional teams to identify archiving scope and strategy

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of SAP experience with strong exposure to SAP Data Archiving

- Hands-on experience in SAP ILM configuration and implementation

- Experience with archiving tools and transactions (SARA, ILM policies, etc.)

- Strong understanding of data retention laws and compliance (e.g., GDPR)

- Experience with content server configuration (OpenText preferred)

- Knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments

- Experience in managing large data volumes

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Valuable to Have

- Experience in SAP HANA environments

- Exposure to SAP DVM (Data Volume Management)

- SAP ILM or related SAP certification

- Experience in global rollout projects
