Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultants to support a long-term U.S.-based SAP payroll project. This is a fully remote opportunity for offshore resources, with working hours aligned to the U.S. Pacific Time zone.

The consultants will be responsible for the configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of SAP Employee Central Payroll. The role requires strong hands-on SAP payroll experience and the ability to collaborate directly with U.S.-based payroll, HR, finance, functional, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

- Configure, maintain, and support SAP Employee Central Payroll based on business and payroll requirements.
- Configure and maintain payroll components including wage types, payroll schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), payroll areas, and payroll control records.
- Support end-to-end payroll processing, including regular payroll, retroactive payroll, off-cycle payroll, corrections, and adjustments.
- Configure and support earnings, deductions, recurring and non-recurring payments, bonuses, overtime, and other payroll components.
- Support U.S. payroll requirements, including federal, state, and local taxation, deductions, garnishments, and statutory payroll requirements.
- Analyze payroll calculations and resolve discrepancies affecting gross-to-net payroll results.
- Support Payroll Control Center processes, validations, alerts, and exception handling.




- Support employee and payroll data replication between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll.
- Investigate and resolve master data, replication, configuration, and payroll processing issues.
- Work with integration teams on interfaces between payroll and Employee Central, time systems, benefits providers, finance, banking, and other downstream applications.
- Support payroll posting to Finance and assist with payroll and financial reconciliation.
- Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and parallel payroll testing.
- Analyze differences between expected and calculated payroll results and coordinate corrective actions.
- Develop functional specifications and work with technical teams on payroll-related enhancements and interfaces.
- Support system cutover, production deployment, go-live, and post-production stabilization.
- Troubleshoot production payroll incidents and provide root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain documentation for payroll configurations, processes, integrations, and system changes.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, testing sessions, and production-support activities during U.S.

Required Qualifications




- 5+ years of experience working with SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
- Solid hands-on experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll configuration.
- Experience working with wage types, payroll schemas, and Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs).
- Strong understanding of payroll master data and end-to-end payroll processing.
- Experience with regular, retroactive, and off-cycle payroll processing.
- Experience with SAP Payroll Control Center.
- Experience supporting Employee Central to Employee Central Payroll data replication.
- Experience with payroll testing, reconciliation, and production support.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to translate payroll business requirements into SAP configuration and functional solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed project teams.
- Must be able and willing to work remotely during U.S.

Pacific

Time (PST/PDT) hours for the duration of the engagement.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing or supporting U.S. Payroll in SAP Employee Central Payroll.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite or SAP Cloud Integration.
- Experience integrating payroll with time, benefits, finance, banking, or third-party systems.
- Experience with parallel payroll testing and payroll reconciliation during implementation or migration projects.
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll certification is preferred.
- Previous experience supporting large enterprise SAP payroll implementations is preferred.
