SAP Databricks Consultant

SAP Data Products Migration & Team Enablement | Hands-on Consulting Role

Role Objective: Engage a hands-on Databricks consultant to establish SAP data products on Databricks from the ground up. The consultant will design, build, and implement the solution while coaching the internal team through practical delivery and structured knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and implement SAP data products and end-to-end pipelines using Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and SQL.
- Work alongside the internal team to build reusable frameworks, establish engineering best practices, and accelerate the team's adoption of Databricks for SAP reporting and data products.
- Migrate SAP reporting workloads and build transformation, semantic, and reporting layers.
- Establish standards for architecture, modeling, governance, security, monitoring, and reusable development frameworks.
- Work directly with business and technical stakeholders through implementation.

SAP Functional Scope

Strong understanding of SAP processes and reporting requirements across:
- SD: Sales orders, deliveries, billing, customer, and revenue analytics.
- MM: Procurement, inventory,



purchase orders, and vendor analytics.
- FI/CO: General ledger, P&L;, balance sheet, AP/AR, and cost center reporting.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in data engineering and analytics, including 3+ years of hands-on Databricks implementation.
- Robust expertise in Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, BW, or SAP Analytics environments.
- Proven delivery of SAP-based reporting data products and ability to coach teams while achieving project outcomes.

- Databricks platform, architecture, and development standards established.
- SAP data products for SD, MM, and FI/CO implemented and ready for support.
- Internal team enabled to independently develop, operate, and extend future data products.
- Reusable frameworks, guidelines, and technical documentation completed.
