About Position:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Engineer with strong expertise in SAP Basis Administration, SAP on AWS environments, and enterprise infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, optimizing, and supporting SAP landscapes, ensuring high system availability, performance, and operational excellence. This role requires hands-on experience with SAP ECC, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, cloud infrastructure management, automation, transport management, system upgrades, and production support.

The successful candidate will work closely with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable SAP services.

What You'll Do:

- Administer and support SAP ECC, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, and associated SAP landscapes.
- Perform routine SAP Basis administration activities to ensure system stability and performance.
- Conduct system health checks, performance analysis, and proactive monitoring activities.
- Monitor SAP work processes, system logs, short dumps, spool requests, background jobs, and application performance.
- Manage Transport Management System (TMS) and coordinate transports across development, quality,



and production environments.
- Execute client copies, system refreshes, system clones, and landscape maintenance activities.
- Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support package implementations, and patch management activities.
- Manage SAP start-up, shutdown, and routine maintenance activities.
- Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery testing, and restore operations.
- Troubleshoot SAP performance issues, RFC connectivity problems, spool issues, and system-related incidents.
- Administer SAP environments hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Manage and support AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and AWS Backup.
- Monitor AWS infrastructure performance, availability, and security compliance.
- Support CI/CD deployment activities and release management processes for SAP applications.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell Scripting and Python to improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in infrastructure provisioning, automation initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
- Handle production incidents, service requests, operational escalations, and critical business-impacting issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
- Execute changes in accordance with ITIL processes, compliance requirements, and governance standards.
- Provide on-call support, weekend support, and maintenance activities as required.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge repositories.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration and Infrastructure Support.
- Strong expertise in SAP ECC 6.0, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, and SAP Basis Administration.
- Extensive experience managing enterprise SAP production environments.
- Hands-on experience with SAP kernel upgrades, support packages, and patch management.
- Strong knowledge of Transport Management System (TMS), transport strategies, and landscape management.
- Experience executing system refreshes, client administration, system copies, and migration activities.
- Working knowledge of SAP security concepts, authorizations, and user administration.
- Solid understanding of RFC connectivity, interface troubleshooting,



and SAP communication frameworks.
- Extensive experience supporting SAP workloads on AWS cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and AWS Backup.
- Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure architecture, cloud operations, and SAP on AWS deployments.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms including Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git-based repositories.
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting, Python, and automation development.
- Experience implementing operational automation and infrastructure optimization solutions.
- Strong understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and ITIL processes.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize SAP system performance.
- Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise environments with strict SLA requirements.
- Strong analytical thinking, root cause analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and business users.
- Experience working in global delivery and support environments is preferred.
