Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP on HANA Developer to design, build, and optimize high-performance programmatic customizations across our enterprise footprint. The ideal candidate will excel at code pushing techniques, shifting processor-heavy application calculations directly down into the database layer via Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, and modern cloud-ready ABAP development models.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop high-performance custom programmatic objects (RICEFW) using contemporary ABAP statements, programming models (RAP/BOPF), and object-oriented patterns (OO-ABAP).

- Execute advanced code pushing techniques, constructing complex Core Data Services (CDS) views, associations, table functions, and authorization frameworks.

- Write optimized data processing routines via ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), custom SQL Scripting, and open SQL formulations.

- Expose backend database calculations to responsive user interfaces, building transactional, analytical,



and search-driven OData services.

- Perform database optimization code remediation, auditing legacy custom objects via Runtime Analysis (SAT), Code Inspector (SCI), and ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) to resolve HANA runtime bottlenecks.

- Implement secure enhancement extensions, configuring custom logic hooks using business add-ins (BAdIs), enhancement spots, customer exits, and implicit options.

- Build modern integration endpoints, constructing custom data serialization loops using Apex/JSON formats, ALE/IDocs, RFC blocks, and Web Services APIs.

Requirements

- 4 to 8 years of core SAP backend engineering experience, with 4+ dedicated years writing technical custom logic and 2+ years working explicitly inside SAP HANA environments.

- Strong technical mastery of OO-ABAP, CDS views, AMDP scripts, OData protocol mapping, and database access performance tracking.

- Deep structural understanding of standard database index tables (e.g., ACDOCA, MATDOC), functional cloud pipelines, and memory constraints.

- Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver OR ABAP Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior implementation background utilizing the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) or Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).

- Experience writing custom logic layers for modern integration infrastructures like SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
