Senior SAP ABAP Developer (SD / Payments / Integration)

What you bring

Must have

- 10 years of hands-on ABAP development on SAP ECC 6.0 (EhP 6 to 8, NetWeaver 7.40 or 7.50), including ABAP Objects, exception classes and up-to-date syntax.
- Deep SD knowledge from a developer's perspective: sales order processing and user exits (SAPMV45A, MV45AFZZ), BAdIs, screen enhancements, deliveries, billing, copy control, output determination and pricing.
- Solid understanding of SD payment concepts: payment card processing (payment card plan, card types, checking groups, authorization and settlement, clearing-house function modules), payment terms, down payments and billing plans, and the FI postings that result from card settlement.
- Proven experience calling REST and JSON APIs from ABAP, and designing resilient outbound integrations with idempotency, retry and failure handling.
- SAP Gateway and OData development (SEGW, DPC and MPC extensions, function imports, service registration and authorizations).




- Ability to work from a design document, validate assumptions in a sandbox, and explain trade-offs clearly to functional consultants, finance and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

- Prior work with a payment service provider (Stripe, Adyen, Cybersource, Paymetric, Delego or similar) or with the SAP Digital Payments Add-on.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS concepts: tokenization, cardholder data scope, SAQ levels.
- Credit-card surcharging experience, including the separate posting and legal disclosure requirements.
- SAPUI5 or Fiori awareness, enough to collaborate closely with the Fiori developer on service design.
- Experience with MuleSoft or another API platform as the integration counterpart.
- S/4HANA experience and an understanding of how ECC custom code migrates, given Envista's eventual move.
- ABAP Unit, ABAP Test Cockpit or similar quality tooling.
