Job Location : Plant based in Nagpur (Remote location sometimes traveling required to plant)

Experience : 10 to 15 years

Product : Defence.

1. Job Purpose To drive sales and business development for our Defence product by identifying and developing business opportunities with defence customers, authorized agencies, and strategic partners in India, European and Israel customer. The role will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing customer relationships, coordinating technical and commercial requirements, and supporting the organizations defence business growth.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Business Development

- Develop and execute sales strategies for our product.
- Identify new business opportunities in the defence sector and develop a solid sales pipeline.
- Generate enquiries and convert qualified opportunities into orders.
- Achieve assigned sales and business development targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with defence customers, authorized procurement agencies, and strategic partners.
- Track defence procurement opportunities, tenders, requirements, and upcoming projects.
- Prepare and submit commercial proposals, quotations, and other required documents in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, and payments.

B. Defence Customer & Market Management

- Develop a thorough understanding of the defence ammunition market and customer requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with relevant defence organizations and authorized stakeholders.
- Understand product specifications,



quality requirements, approvals, certifications, and customer expectations.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and business opportunities.
- Provide regular market intelligence and competitor analysis to management.
- Explore opportunities for long-term contracts, repeat orders, and strategic business partnerships.

C. Tender & Commercial Activities

- Identify and monitor relevant defence tenders and procurement opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for preparation of technical and commercial tender documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of bids, quotations, and required supporting documents.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Production, Quality, Technical, and other departments for commercial proposals.
- Support management in pricing, negotiation, and contract finalization.

D. Customer Coordination

- Act as the primary sales coordination point for assigned customers.
- Understand customer requirements and communicate them effectively to internal teams.
- Coordinate customer visits, product presentations, meetings, trials, inspections, and demonstrations, wherever applicable.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer queries and complaints.
- Maintain strong post-sales relationships to support repeat business.

E. Reporting & MIS





- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and business development updates.
- Maintain enquiry, quotation, tender, order, and customer databases.
- Track sales targets, order status, receivables, and pipeline opportunities.
- Provide regular updates to the Business Head on market developments and major opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, meetings, negotiations, and follow-ups.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Achievement of annual/monthly sales targets.
- New customer and business development.
- Order booking and revenue generation.
- Conversion ratio of enquiries/tenders into orders.
- Growth of defence sales pipeline.
- Customer retention and repeat business.
- Timely submission of tenders and commercial proposals.
- Collection/realization of outstanding payments.
- Market intelligence and competitor tracking.
- Customer satisfaction and relationship management.

4. Required Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Experience in defence, ammunition, explosives sales only preferred.

5. Experience

- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Sales & Marketing / Business Development.
- Experience in defence sales, government procurement, tenders, or institutional sales will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with established defence-sector relationships and experience in handling large institutional customers will be preferred.
