About AGSRT
Avakaza Geoscience Research Technologies provides geospatial training and technology solutions for individuals, educational institutions, and organisations. Its activities include professional and corporate training, institutional collaborations, GIS and remote-sensing services, software applications, and related geospatial consulting.
Role Overview
AGSRT is looking for an energetic, confident Marketing Executive to generate qualified enquiries, develop prospect databases, promote training programmes and geospatial solutions, and support business growth through direct outreach and promotional activities.
The role includes cold calling, college visits, corporate and client visits, meeting coordination, event promotion, and structured follow-up. The executive will work with the Business Development Manager, admissions team, and digital-marketing team to turn initial interest into productive conversations and sales opportunities.
This is not a social-media-only position. Regular telephone outreach and field visits are essential responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect research and database development
Identify potential customers and build verified databases of colleges, universities, companies, research organisations, and relevant decision-makers. Organise prospects by segment, location, requirement, and potential service interest. Maintain accurate business contact details and avoid duplicate or incomplete records.
Cold calling and direct outreach
Contact prospective institutions, corporate clients, and relevant enquiries through calls, email, professional networking, and approved messaging channels. Introduce AGSRT’s services,
identify initial interest, understand basic requirements, and arrange meetings or counselling sessions. Maintain a planned follow-up schedule rather than relying on one-time contact.
College visits and institutional promotion
Visit colleges and educational institutions to meet management representatives, department heads, placement officers, and faculty coordinators. Promote GIS awareness sessions, workshops, faculty-development programmes, value-added courses, and potential institutional collaborations. Collect the information needed for the Business Development Manager to take discussions forward.
Corporate and client visits
Visit prospective companies and client organisations to introduce AGSRT’s corporate training, GIS services, products, and application-development capabilities. Identify the relevant decision-maker and record the organisation’s needs, expected timeline, and next step. Arrange detailed discussions or demonstrations with the business-development and technical teams.
Programme promotion and event coordination
Support webinars, seminars, orientation sessions, campus activities, exhibitions, and product demonstrations. Coordinate invitations, registrations, reminders, promotional materials, and participant follow-up. Record enquiries generated through each activity and help convert event participation into counselling, meetings, or solution discussions.
Marketing communication and campaign support
Help prepare and distribute approved brochures, presentations, email messages, WhatsApp communication, and other promotional content. Provide the digital-marketing team with customer questions, objections, local-market feedback, and field insights to improve campaigns.
Support promotion through relevant professional and institutional networks while keeping programme details and messaging accurate.
Enquiry qualification and sales support
Respond to assigned enquiries and establish the prospect’s requirement, audience or learner profile, level of interest, timeline, and decision-making contact. Share approved information and coordinate the next step with admissions or business development. Support follow-up on presentations and proposals without independently promising pricing concessions, technical features, delivery dates, or partnership terms.
CRM updates, reporting, and market feedback
Update the approved tracker on the same working day with calls, visits, meetings, lead source, discussion notes, status, and next action. Submit activity reports covering meaningful conversations, qualified leads, meetings held, event outcomes, and pending follow-ups. Share feedback on competitor offers, customer objections, and reasons for low engagement.
Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in marketing, business administration, commerce, communications, or a related area is advantageous.
- Confidence in cold calling, face-to-face communication, presenting company services, and following up professionally. Previous education outreach, field marketing, or B2B experience is preferred.
- Good spoken English and skilled written communication. Kannada will be useful for local outreach; Hindi or other regional languages will support broader prospect engagement.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, email, presentations, and basic CRM systems, with the willingness to learn GIS business applications and travel regularly for approved visits.
