Role Description

This is a fully remote internship for someone who wants real experience in sales and publishing — not simulated tasks.

You will start by managing inbound leads for The Ghost Semester, our live 3-month ghostwriting course, and grow into supporting sales across our ebook catalogue and IWF Originals, our publishing imprint.

Day-to-day, you will handle lead follow-up across WhatsApp and email, maintain and update the lead tracker, answer product questions, share course materials with prospective students, and flag high-intent leads to the founder. As you settle in, you will also support publishing operations — coordinating timelines, organising book assets, helping prepare materials for ebook and book launch campaigns,



and drafting basic sales and marketing content.

This role grows with you. Strong performers move beyond the internship.

Qualifications

— Strong written English — warm, explicit, and professional across WhatsApp, email, and DMs

— Genuine interest in books, publishing, or storytelling — you need to believe in what you're selling

— Comfortable with Google Workspace and basic spreadsheets — you'll be managing a live lead tracker from Day 1

— Organised and reliable in a remote setting — able to manage 50+ leads at different stages without dropping anyone

— Follows up without being told to — this is the most important quality for this role

— Able to conduct basic research — market trends, reader communities, promotional platforms

— Collaborative and open to feedback — you'll be working closely with the founder

— Background in communications, marketing, publishing, English, or a related field is a plus but not required

- — Prior experience in customer service, sales support, or content creation is an advantage — but motivation and a genuine interest in books matter more
