Safety Technical SME – (ISO 26262 & SOTIF)

We are looking for an experienced Safety Technical SME with strong expertise in ISO 26262 Functional Safety and SOTIF (ISO 21448) for advanced automotive chassis systems and ADAS integration programs. The role involves leading end-to-end safety activities, safety compliance, homologation support, and acting as the key safety authority across engineering teams, suppliers, OEM customers, and assessment bodies.

Domain Expertise:

- Braking Systems (Hydraulic, Electro-Hydraulic, Brake-by-Wire)
- Steering Systems (EPS, Steer-by-Wire)
- Suspension & Vehicle Dynamics (ABS, ESC, TCS)
- ADAS-Chassis Interactions (AEB, ACC, LKA, Stability & Motion Control)
- Chassis Domain Controllers, Sensors & Actuators

Key Responsibilities:

Own and drive the complete functional safety lifecycle for chassis systems from concept to production and operations, develop Item Definition, HARA, Safety Goals, and ASIL classifications, create and review Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC), define and manage Functional Safety Requirements (FSRs), Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs), hardware and software safety requirements, lead safety analyses including FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and interface risk assessments, define safe states, fault reactions, and degradation strategies for chassis and ADAS handover scenarios, apply SOTIF methodologies to address unknown and performance-related risks, support safety verification and validation activities through MIL, SIL, HIL, and fault injection testing, develop Safety Case and SOTIF Case documentation, perform safety impact analysis for design changes and field issues, support homologation and certification activities, coordinate with third-party assessment bodies,



and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory safety requirements.

Required Skills:

Robust knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety Lifecycle and ISO 21448 (SOTIF), experience in automotive chassis systems and ADAS integration, expertise in HARA, FSC, TSC, Safety Goals, ASIL decomposition, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, Safety Case development, safety verification and validation processes, stakeholder coordination across OEMs and suppliers, and strong understanding of ASPICE and automotive development processes.

?️ Tools & Technologies:

ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ASPICE, Medini Analyze, IBM DOORS, Polarion, Codebeamer, MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, CANoe, MIL, SIL, HIL, Fault Injection Tools.

? Preferred:

Experience in ADAS-Chassis integration safety activities, interaction with certification and assessment bodies, global automotive project exposure, strong supplier and OEM coordination experience, and expertise in safety compliance for advanced vehicle platforms.

? Education:

BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech – Automotive / Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical Engineering
